Make and Take Workshops


Each hands-on workshop runs 60-90 minutes and includes a detailed handout and herbal refreshments. Price per person is listed under each workshop description. A minimum of 15 people is required for a workshop.

Hanging Herb Garden – Put together a hanging planter containing culinary herbs including basil, thyme, sage, parsley, rosemary, and chives.  Find a sunny spot outside your kitchen door and you’re ready to snip as needed this summer. Receive tips on proper watering, feeding and pruning to ensure your container will thrive. May and early June only. Cost is $20.00 per person.

Herbal Blends Workshop – This workshop starts with covering how to preserve your herbs for winter, followed by recipes for 15 herbal blends to use for tea, infused oils, cheese balls, flavoring stews and soups, herbal butters, mustards and more. Includes many food samples! Each guest will make an herb blend to take home. Cost is $20.00 per person.

Herbal Holiday Gifts Workshop – Learn a variety of ways to use herbs and essential oils to make gifts for every occasion! We start out by discussing (and sharing!) some tasty foods that can be packaged as gifts. This is followed by ideas for using essential oils to make bath sachets, oils, bath salts, and more. Each guest will make 3 items to take home – linen spray, an herbal tea sachet, and Christmas Cappuccino! Cost is $20.00 per person.

Living Herb and Flower Wreath – Using a metal wreath base, sheet moss, potting soil, and a variety of herbs and flowers, each class member will make a living wreath to enjoy at home!  Choose from an assortment of variegated thyme, creeping rosemary, chocolate mint, begonias, polka dot plant, dusty miller, Vick’s plant, purple and white alyssum, marigolds, and more. May and early June only. Cost is $20.00 per person.
